ReadWriteStart

Kudos to Richard MacManus.  His ReadWriteWeb is a fantastic resource for those of you with an interest in web technology.  I encourage you to check it out and sign up for the free daily email newsletter or RSS feeds.

Of particular interest to this class, I recommend ReadWriteStart.  It's dedicated to profiling startups and entrepreneurs. There may be some free software involved, too!  From the website:  Microsoft BizSpark is a startup program that offers early stage software businesses and entrepreneurs three-year access to the latest Microsoft development tools and production licenses, technical support, visibility to an audience of potential clients and partners as well as connecting you to a nationwide network of investors and incubators.

I find the Startup 101 series of articles particularly engaging for the way the author makes it all sound so simple! Lots of great hints and tips for BUS477!

Given that we will be discussing business models, I'd like you to take a look at these sites and share your thoughts on how you think Richard earns a decent living by working very hard to share this information with you for free.

BTW, I've shared this post with Richard, so he may even tell us the right answer!)
