RBC Innovation Contest.I just wanted to send out a quick note with two reminders: the Innovation Mini Challenge closes this weekend and the main RBC Next Great Innovator Challenge begins this week.
The RBC Innovation Mini Challenge, which closes Sunday Sept 27th, is our innovation warm-up. We hope the Mini Challenge will encourage students to innovate around an issue, in this case creating Social Innovation, and then consider participation in the upcoming fourth year of our RBC Next Great Innovator Challenge. For the Mini Challenge, students have until Sept 27th to register and submit an innovative answer to the following challenge: Organizations which support Social Innovation and create social good will do better if they cross-connect, but currently mechanisms do not exist that support easy and effective group-to-group collaboration. The challenge: Suggest innovative ways to allow these organizations to connect and collaborate. Thinking up the solution will be the tough part; we've made registration and idea submission easy via the website: http://www.rbc.com/innovator/mini_challenge.html or the Prof's resources pagehttp://www.rbc.com/innovator/professors_guide_mini.html I think there is still ample time for a team to form up, do their research, get inspired and turn in a Mini Challenge entry by the end of the weekend (Sept 27th). We'll be posting the ideas for public voting on Sept 30th, and awarding the $1000 prize Oct 13th. On Wednesday Sept 23 we will unveil the theme and question for our 4th annual Next Great Innovator Challengewww.nextgreatinnovator.com. It's secret until then but we feel it is a topic that is critical to the future of Canadian Enterprises and to the students themselves! They can register, collaborate and submit an innovation (by Dec 5th) that could change the way a bank thinks, and earn the students a $20000 prize.
