BUS477

I have now completed all of the grading for BUS477. 

By the end of the day tomorrow (Tuesday 1 Dec), I will send each student in BUS477 a personal note.  This note will contain:

• your individual grade for class participation
• your team grade for the oral pitch and business plan
• a confirmation of individual and team grades on all assignments this semester
• a final grade out of 100
• a letter grade for BUS477

Please review this note carefully to make sure my records agree with yours. 

Business Plan

The range of grades was 65.5% (19.7) to 85.5% (27.7) with an average of 74.4% (21.4 / 30) over 10 plans.

Pitches

The range of grades was 79% (7.9) to 92% (9.2) with an average of 84% (8.4 / 10) over 10 plans. 

Grading Errors

If you see an error (e.g. I have recorded the grade on a particular assignment incorrectly), please contact me immediately.

Grading Disputes

Please refer to the BUS477 grading policies in the FAQ. Given that your business plans were graded by the instructors of both BUS477 (myself) and ENSC201 (Dr. John Jones) any disputes must be addressed to both instructors in writing.

Ken Spencer Nominees

Dr. Jones and I have nominated five (5) teams to the Ken Spencer competition:

Business Plans and Grading Sheets

Given that our class tomorrow was merged with last week, I will not be on campus this week.  I will bring all assignment feedback with me to the Ken Spencer competition on Tuesday 8 December.  Any member of your team can pick up the assignments in person at that time.  All unclaimed business plans and team grading rubrics for BUS477 will be left with the undergrad business department.

If you have been nominated to the Ken Spencer competition and would like to refine your business plan in light of the feedback from Dr. Jones and myself then:

• your ENSC201 partner can pick up the ENSC 201 hard copy of your plan and feedback sheet from Dr. Jones at any time.
• contact me to meet in North Vancouver or downtown at a mutually-convenient time this week to pick up my feedback sheet and the BUS477 hard copy of your plan
