Angel Forum Presentation

Each team will present their business idea to a simulated forum of angel investors.  The forum will consist of all BUS477 students and, potentially, a panel of distinguished investors from the Vancouver business community.

Like a typical angel forum, presenters are given very strict timelines to make their pitch for investment.  Each team will have seven (7) minutes to setup and make their presentation.  There will be a one-minute warning.  At the end of exactly 7 minutes, the presentation will end.

Unlike a typical angel forum, presenters will have the opportunity to receive helpful feedback from the panel.  This objective, third-party feedback will be especially helpful to those teams that aim to compete in the Ken Spencer and other busienss plan competitions!  Each panelist will have up a minute to offer constructive feedback to the team.  1 minute for next team to setup, as needed.

Notes:

• We will use our regular classroom.  Attendance by BUS477 students is manditory until all presentations have been completed.
• Geeks, friends and parents are welcome to attend your team presentation and any others they would like to stick around for. 
• I would like to have your pitches videorecorded so you can review how you look from the audience's perspective.  Don't be scared!  Feedback from past classes is that this was one of the most memorable learning experiences in the class. I aim to have presentations and panel feedback on this website for you, your family and friends within the week.  (Examples of past presentations.)
• I will aim to have grades back to you on your pitches and plans within 10 days
• Top 5 teams will be invited to participate in Ken Spencer Competition
