All but 2 assignments have been graded. You should have by now received a note from me with your grade, how I arrived at it and some personal feedback on your paper.
Overall, the class met or exceeded my expectations:

Grade average: 11.6 / 15
Here are some overall thoughts and feedback:
- In Part 1, I was looking to see good academic research and analysis. Top grades went to papers where specific references were cited (e.g. looked for several definitions of what a board was and should be) and where there was absolute clarity as to the differences between types of boards and what makes a good board.
- In Part 2, I was looking to see that you applied the best practices you learned from Part 1 in your team project (e.g. interviewed their board members for expectations, noted how and why they selected their board members, etc.)
- make it easy for me to grade your paper! Given a subject line of "paper" and no hard copy, it is tough for me to grade your paper and more probable that I will misplace your paper. (Same applies to all of your classes.) A couple students lost minor grades unnecessarily for this.
- Note: As per our discussion in class, Part 1 was an individual effort and was where I focused the grading. Part 2 was intended to help you move your team project along and to give me the opportunity to provide a bit of coaching where needed. I was looking to see that teams were communicating what they learned in Part 1 and were applying this to their projects
